I have a Mossberg 472 lever action 30-30 and i was wondering what years was it manufactured in and the year mossberg stoped produciong the 472

  Brush gun=18" bbl.--1974-76
  
  Carbine=20" bbl.--1972-79
  
  Rifle=24" bbl.--1974-76
  
  One in Five Thousand=1974

  My reference notes that the were at least ( 6) different rifles/carbines, in the 472 series lever action centerfires manufactured by Mossberg. The earliest date to 1972, "PC", "PR", "SC" & "SR". The "SB" carbine was made as late as 1980.
  
  The were superseded by the 479 series in 1980. These were made between 1980 & 1985.

  ok thank you for your help but ill have to measure the bbl to see what type it is i believe it has an 18" or 20" bbl
