What is "M/F" when discussing shotguns?

When descriptions of shotguns are given, the initials "M/F" is often used. What does that stand for?

  If it is a double gun, it likely stands for the choke; ie one barrel is a modified choke and the other is full choke. I/M would be improved and modified. Just a guess without knowing the specific firearm.
