sn FG13529 when was it made? and anything else interesting? I have a very minty one that runs perfectly - love it.

Is it a Model 66 Trailsman revolver or a Trailsman semi-auto? Revolvers were made from 1958-75 and semis were made in 85-86 and 90.

the letter codes "FG" denote that this trailsman is the semiautomatic version introduced in the 1980s. with a serial number this high it is probable one of the last ones manufactured in 1987/88 or one of the 485 from 1990 or 220 from 1992 built from left over parts. iver johnson did very little actual manufacturing of any firearms in the last few years it was a vivable company. the closed their doors and sold everything in the spring of 1993, i bellieve it was some time in may 1993.

first listed in catalogs in 1984-1987 and then again in 1990-1992. serial numbers cannot be used to identify exact year of production as they changed the serial number series after about 1,000 had been manufactured. there were an estimated 11,000 plus manufactured in the u.s.a. first 500 plus were actually manufactured in argentina and assembled here. (another problem is that not every frame that recieved a serial number was actually built into a working gun.
