DP-28
I recently discovered a DP-28 in the depths of my grandfather's house. It is missing the barrel and bipod but I would like to restore it. How much would it cost to restore and how much would it be worth if I were to sell it after restoration?

If your referring to the Russian Degtyarev, ( D P 28 ) Light Machine Gun? Unless it was registered by your Grandfather, during the 1968 amnesty and you have the BATF papers proving this, it's worthless.
The receiver is considered the firearm, i.e. MACHINE GUN, by the FEDS. To be in possession of one illegally, is worth 10 years in the slammer.
Strip all the small parts, and remove the wooden buttstock from the receiver, you can legally sell these to a parts dealer. Cut up the receiver into little pieces with a hacksaw. What ever you do, don't be calling up the cops and/or the Feds and telling them about it. You will be just making needless trouble for yourself.
