Remington Nylon 76

I picked up a nylon model 76 and need a rear sight. The elevation screw has let go and from what I've found searching online the only way to repair is to replace the sight. If anyone can give me a source for these or another idea I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

    My father in law has a naylon 76 lever action it needs some repair work (a few parts to replace)hes wanting to sell it my ??? is should i order the parts and fix it for him or sell it as it is.

    Need more info than that.

    What stock does it have, the common brown one, or is it black? Any cracks in the stock? What is the finish like?

    Blue book shows a range of $65 in 60% condition to $275 for one in mint 100% condition for the standard brown stock/blue finish. However, these are kind of rare, and there are collectors of Remington's Nylon series, so if it is in real nice shape, someone might even pay more.

    This one has a brown stock with very few small scratches and a blued barrel with very little wear. Say about 85 to 90% on the gun as a whole. quote:Originally posted by jnmiller75

    It will be interesting to see what this brings. I have seen dealers at the Tulsa show asking as high as 600.00.

    Didnt look closely the first time. This is a sold item. I would say he got a very good deal at 275.00. You very rarely see these.

    I've been lookin' for one myself.

    Didn't realize until a year or so ago that the 76 was the only lever action Remington ever made.

    I have one of these puppies. A nice one too. I can see why they only made one. They didn't have a clue how to make a lever action rifle This rifle reqires detailed cleaning and it it is a pain in the butt to do. I am not a fan of any of the Rem. Nylon series. They make interesting wall hangers though.
    The good thing about them(n76)is that they will probably hold there Value... I rarely see one at the shows. Any one that I recall in the last 4 yrs (around 90 shows).
