Purchasing AR-15 Uppers
I'm in the market for a 20-inch flat-top upper assy for my Oly Arms PCR01. I find many for sale with the following caveat "less bolt/carrier & charging handle."
Couple of questions: Why would someone sell an upper receiver, and not the bolt/carrier & charging handle? Are the bolt/carrier & charging handles typically interchangeable (Like can I use the one from my own upper assy?) and finally, if I can't use my Oly Arms bolt/carrier & charging handle, where is a decent place to purchase one and what do these generally go for?

They don't include the carrier and bolt, because they are interchangable. It only takes about 3 seconds to take the carrier out of one upper and put it in the other upper.

I would look to spend about $120. for a bolt w/carrier and a chargeing handle. You can find them at gun shows, GB auction, maybe even on flea-bay. 0
