Tasco Titaan Scopes

I've seen a few of these scopes for sale on gunbroker. Never heard of them, but I have heard of Tasco, of course. Anybody have any close up experience with these scopes. I know most people don't think much of Tasco, but maybe these are decent scopes, or not?

  I have had 3 of the 3x12x56's and the optics were superb . did a side by side comparisom with my buddies 3.5-10x40 leupold, looking into the trees at dusk on an elk hunt in colorado, and the tasco beat it hands down for being able to pick out animals moving through the timber...didnt care for the extra bulk and had to use extended rings to get the eye relief i was use to on a magnum rifle, so consequently got away from them

  Tasco went out of business 2 years ago. Bushnell bought their name only; Bushnell will not service Tasco-made scopes. The price you pay should reflect whether it is a Bushnell Tasco or a Tasco Tasco; see the Bushnell website to determine how to tell which is which.

  I have a Tasco Titan, 1.5 - 6X. The optics are great but I don't like the extra weight just like scott. I would say it is a good buy for the price.
