Where's a Serial # on Wards Westernfield 20 Ga.?

Thank you for prior responses. Here's my next "stump the professor" question: Where can I find the Serial number for a Wards Westernfield 20 Gauge? I cannot find it on the barrel/receiver or the bolt. There just isn't anything else to this shotgun than the stock! Thanks.

The buck has gained considerable velocity by the time it hits my desk.

    Serial numbers were not required before the Gun Control Act of 1968. Your shotgun was made before then.
