Pistols in Maryland

Are there any pistol restrictions in Maryland? Specifically would a CZ52 be permitted on a C&R? Would the owner have to file any additional paperwork in Maryland?

  Best thing is to write to the state police at Jessup, Md. at the firearms dept.

  All handguns, including C&R's, must be transferred through an FFL. Within the state, both buyer & seller must go to the state police barracks & complete a request to transfer a handgun.
  
  Of course, there is no way for MD authorities to know if you sent a C&R directly to a C&R holder, & no one has ever gotten into trouble for doing so. But, that is how MSP has interpreted the law.

  A C&R is a type of FFL. A C&R (Type 03) is NOT the same as a Type 01 that is issued to dealers & gunsmiths. Federal law & some state laws do not recognize them as the same. For example, Federal law does not permit a C&R to send or receive a handgun through the US Mail.
  
  Maryland law is as I stated; a C&R handgun must be transferred through a Type 01 FFL holder.
