help with Ithaca 37 age

I cant find any ser/date info in my books on the Ithaca mod 37 16ga ser # 38xxx,,,any help is appreciated,,,,,,,Jim

  According to the information I have your shotgun was made in 1941. If I'm not mistaken it's a Standard Model. My grandfather's shotgun was made in 1940. I've used it and love it. I believe Ithica had or has a website. Hope this helps.

  Ginmaster, Where did you find the year of manufacture? I've been able to find the #'s for the Ithaca SxS's, but not the 37's.
