Model 24's future

I am interested to hear what you all think about the colective future of the 20ga. model 24. do you see it skyrocketing like the 21's or have they reached their peak, just keeping up with inflation?

    In the upper graded condition, a Model 24 20 gauge will continue to climb rapidly in value. If it as a well worn gun, it will climb MUCH slower. The Model 24 will NEVER have the collector appeal that the Model 21 has, and as a result of that fact, its value is extremely unlikely to ever approach that of a Model 21.

    Good morning cartod: Very few Winchesters will see what the Md 21 has, (about 38,000 made) But the 24 will continue rise, all gauges. Of course the better the condition the faster it will rise over time.

    As the cost of new guns continue to rise so will the cost of used guns. The Md 24 was a "tank" and if you would have asked someone 50 years ago when they were selling for around $100, (still in production) if a little 20 ga. in mint condition would ever sell for $1000. They would have laughed at you!! Well guess what, ones that are truely 98% or better to NIB are going for that and more.

    As time passes, and there are fewer and fewer around, this will add to the rising price. Shooter grades will continue to rise but as Bert said, the rise will not be as quick. With only about 117,000 made total, it was a good user gun, there are a few "Special Ordered" guns out there, with factory recoil pads, checkered stocks, higher grade stocks, special choke combinations etc. these will continue to rise fast also.
