what are they worth???

Can you please tell what these guns are worth?? New in box Beretta 92 fs Caliber 9mm Parabellum with 2 10 round clips and 2 15 round clips never fired? Also Ruger 308 M-77 Mark II Bolt action rifle 26" barrel stainless steel gray matte finish laminated american hardwood with flat forend. Used once. I want to sell but don't want to lose money!!!

    Who does? Unfortunately the difference in value between a new gun and used one is substantial. When a firearm is sold at retail or you put 1 round through a gun it becomes a used firearm and depreciation occurs. Check gunbroker.com for comperable firearms and see what they went for. You almost always will do better selling a firearm through the newspaper or other classified ad then selling it at auction.

    Also, if there are any gun shops in your area you might call them and see what they charge to put your firearms on consignment. It's not the quickest way, but before I was dealing I always found it to be the next best thing to advertising the gun in the paper. Most shops will charge a fee of anywhere from 10%-25% of the selling price. The gun shop I used to use charged 15% off the top, but even with that I found that the selling price was usually high enough that I was still able to walk away with enough money to make me happy.

    ldawn, dont take any less than $400 for either of your guns. the ruger new gos for about $700 new, the beretta $550-$650. it all depend i guess on how soon you need the money? redman

    Also, be very cautious and follow the LAW in selling and who you sell them to. Selling guns improperly can get you into a lot of trouble. Selling handguns can be a real problem if you have to ship them, some states and cities ban the shipment of handguns.

    Lets see now,you want to sell them but you don't weant to lose money..SIMPLE,, sell them for what you paid for them..otherwise why buy them in the first place.I'm awonderin.....
