Fancy grips for an 1861 Navy repro...

Anybody got a source? Looked at the auction but it's mostly 1911 stuff or thereabouts. No luck with searches using "grips", "1861 Navy", "blackpowder" and or combos thereof. Also - in talking about scrimshaw in relation to grips - does the word refer to style or material?

  Drop member Powdersmoke an email, he knows where to get BP pistol stuff and can do some fancy scrimshaw work for you as well.

  Hey, try Sid Ryan, he does some very nice scrimshaw grips for just about eeverything, and they look great. (Have two sets) I think you can find his web site by searching scrimshaw grips on Yahoo.

  Don't know about Ryan, but I can tell you, powdersmoke would be awfully hard to beat. He did a set for me that can never be bought.
