Ruger single-six 32 H&R Mag

I own a Ruger single-six in .32 H&R Mag and would like to know if I can fire .32 S&W Long in the gun or would this cause some damage to the handgun ? Thanks, 2ds

    You can shoot the 32 S & W Long in your Ruger as much as you want without affecting it, in the least. The only difference in the cartridges, is that the overall leangth of the 32 S & W Long is approximately .080 shorter. It's also loaded to a lower muzzle velocity for similar bullet weights. Because of this you will probably have to readjust your sights.

    Also you should be able to shoot .32 ACPs in that gun.This is not recommended for all .32mag revolvers as the .32 ACP is higher pressure cartridge and is also a hair smaller diameter.I have a S&W model 16 and a older Charter Arms .32 mag and both guns shoot the .32 ACP without any problems.[^]

    I have the Ruger baby vaquero in 32 mag and shoot both 32 long and 32 acp in it , its surprising how good it shoots the shorter rounds ,, just make sure you clean the cylinder good after wards

    The other guys have hit the nail on the head. I have fired .32 Mag, .32 Long, .32 Short and .32 ACP( It is semi-rimmed) in my Ruger. In fact, since I have a large supply of .32 Long that is usually what I reload. As was mentioned before be sure to clean chambers well after firing shorter rounds.
