.380 ACP advice and opinion

I have begun my search for a small automatic and decided on the .380 ACP as my calibre of choice. I seem to have narrowed my search down to 3 guns, and at the last minute added a fourth. This is an outline of the opinions I have heard so far.

Bersa thunder .380 - light and enexpensive got good reviews out of the box. big trigger creep, but a good value.

Sig 230 - cadillac of the small autos but very small. well made and an excellent gun but big guys have a hard time fitting thier hand to it.

Walther PPK/S - another wonderfully made gun that did not fit my hand well. the slide ate me up as it slides closer to the tang than the others.

NOW....someone has suggested a Browning BDA stainless.

I would appreciate any and all opinions about this gun in comparison to the other three.

    Seecamp now makes a 380 pistol. I have a 32 and it is excellent. The smallest you can get.

    I agree with the PPK statement that the slide eats you up, I got rid of mine because of that alone.

    I don't have a SIG in 380 but have their 9mm and it is an excellent gun, can't go wrong on the SIG.

    If your looking for an excellent gun go with the sig or browning. If your looking for a good gun go with the Bersa. I have all 3 personal guns and all 3 perform perfectly. Sounds like you ruled out the Walther, but an excellent gun also.

    For the money the Bersa is hard to beat. Shoots just as well as the Sig for half the price. More comfortable to shoot than the Walther, for half the price. Great little gun, you will not be disappointed with the Bersa.

    What no M-12?[}:)] That aside, the Bersa is good. Might also check out a Makarov in .380, gun is pretty darn accurate and brutally reliable

    Kel-Tec 9mm is 10+1, I believe. It's got to be smaller than the Thunder 380, and it is flatter. Plus, more ammo of a higher caliber.

    Hello you opened a bag of worms see if you can try different ones I agree the ppk is first class workmanship but has a poor grip /tang area I you can find someone "ME IN VA" that will let you shoot a REMINGTON model P51 . you will fall in love with it .It is the flatest and best grip and has a locked BREACH so the recoil is about 1/2 of a PPK.
