Charles Daly o/u

I have a chance to buy a Charles Daly by Miroku in 28ga with 26 inch barrels. It is in nice condition and the price is 800. Is this a good deal or not.

    Can I get any pro's and con's on the Charles Daly O/U shotgun and also who makes it for them? Any info is appreciated.

    Back in the late 60's I got a very early CD Miroku that had a true 28GA frame. If its one of those, then its a huge bargain. If not, its still a very well made gun that's easily worth the money.

    Pat,
    I made more money on that gun than any other I have ever owned. I bought it from a guy who always had more money than sense. He came from a very well to do family. His grandmother would give him "presents" every month (usually very expensive guns or cameras) which he would sell and live off of until the next present showed up. Of all of them, he liked the 28 Daly the best. His problem was that I did as well. Whenever he came into a windfall, he would come back to offer me a huge profit to sell it back to him. This went on for 40 years until he had control of all the family money and he has not had to sell it back to me since!

    I have had 2 of the Miroku Charles DAly's -- 1 Trap and 1 Skeet. Both were excellent shotguns. Same company that made the Browning Citori as I remember. My son has them both now.
