knife????????? how old????
my mom gave me a knife she found in her room while she was cleaning, no clue how old it is, or where it came from. i have searched around and found nothing. on one side of the blade it has USN inscribbed on it, and on the other side it has H. boker & co u.s.a. any help would be appreciated.

Made 1943/1944 under contract to War Department...
Its unknown as to just how many were actually made! Even the Dozen or so manufacturers can't agree upon exact Figures....But all the makers combined produced over 2 Million Mk.1's in a 2 year period...Even with this amount in circulation they are difficult to come by and command a High Premium when found....but keep in mind that Condition is what sets the actual value...as for True Value? Its unknown to this Author....Maybe someone who collects these knifes will be able to set a value for You.....Best.....
