Opinions on Colt Pony
I'd like to hear your opinions on the Colt Pony. I have a Mustang and I'm thinking about picking up a Pony. Main purpose would be for pocket carry.

Get the FI model D or Iver-Johnson Pony, it's the same gun but without the colt price. Prefer a PPK/s or colt cobra , but sometimes only a 1911a1 will do........ 0 -
I'm talking about the DAO Pony made in the 90s. I believe the Pony your talking about is a SA model from the 70s. Maybe some others can shed some light on this. 0 -
They are very nice pieces and hard to locate. Be prepared to pay a premium to own one. Mine is unfired in the safe. My carry is a Keltec P3AT. I have owned a few Colt Pony DAO's and liked the way they shot BUT I liked the profit I made better. I might add the regular steel Pony's are heavy.. I owned only the rarer Pony Pocketlites. 0 -
I carry a Pony Pocketlite daily on my body armor under my shirt. Trigger is a bit tough, but it shoots well and is 100% reliable.
Too bad Colt quit making them. They are great little guns.
