Beretta/Smith comparison
Is it fair to compare the S&W 5906 9mm to the beretta 92g. I have a chance to get either at a very good price and would like to hear opinions.

Buy the one that fits and feels good in your hand. Both are decent firearms.
I have owned both, but still have the 5906. I liked the Beretta well enough, but traded it off on something else...

I've owned both and perfer the Beretta. The takedown and cleaning of the Beretta is a bit more straightforward and I found the Beretta is a little more accurate. The Beretta fits my hand perfectly and has a clean sight that accures the target fast. On the down side the Beretta cost more and has a bit more muzzel flip. The Smith is a great firearm though and I can't say anything bad about it.

Both are excellent guns, the Smith can probably take more abuse because it is all stainless. But I have yet to break my 92FS. Here's the solution: Buy both!
Save the seals-club a liberal instead.0 -
The one thing I don't like about Berettas is the exposed barrel, I always seem to burn my hand. I never use to like S&W autos, but I have gotten a few of them in used, and the more I handle them the more I like them.
