CZ 550 ASC

I was wondering if any one had any info on the CZ 550 American Safari Classic. It looks like a nice gun. I just dont know a lot about CZ.

Funny you should mention...

Tomorrow am I am meeting a friend to shoot his CZ 550 American Safari (upgraded wood) in .375 H&H. He is going to the Zambezi valley in Zimbabwe on a cape buffalo hunt in about a month.

I have seen the gun and shot it. I think is outstanding for the money, and the CZ 550 is one of the better values in rifles today. The gun shoots good enough, it is really hard to tell with only a Leupold 1.5-5x scope. Accuracy seems good considering, and we have had no function problems of any kind.

Talley makes a nice set of rings for this rifle, fixed and detach.

I think for the money it is also a great deal. I think if I got it I would get it in .458 Lott and put a 2.5-8 on it with detachable mount.

Anything made by CZ seems to be a really good buy for the money. I have never fired one their really large caliber rifles but I own two CZ 550, one is a 7X57 and the other is a 6.5X55. I doubt you will regret your purchase of one of these rifles.
