Do they or don't they (remignton that is) make an 870 with a 7-shot magazine as opposed to the ubiquitous 6 shot I see everywhere? I seem to recall seeing one in Shotgun News but I haven't been able to find one on GB. If so, where can I get one?

is there any way to change an 870 that only shoots 2 3/4 inch shells to accomidate 3 or 3 1/2 inch shells? 0 -
You can get aftermarket extensions for 7 or 8 round capacity.

It depends largely on the barrel length. You normally don't want a mag tube longer than the barrel, so you choose one that fits.
18" barrel = 6 shot magazine.
20" barrel = 7 shot magazine.
Choate Machine and Tool made all lengths, even 10 shot extensions for barrels 26" or longer. Better quality than Tac Star, too.

Wilson Combat sells them. Per their brochure, the US Secret Service and US Border Patrol selected their extensions. Price $45.00
