When did the shotgun shells change from paper to plastic? I know that Peters was bought out by Remington in the 40's. The Peters Victor shells that I have are advertised as "New Plastic" and are headstamped "Remington" and "Peters". I'm assuming somewhere around that time period?

  Hello ginmaster: I should know this because I remember buying the "new plastic" shells! LOL about the 1964 time frame. Not everyone switched at the same time. Within a year of plastic hulls, came the "cupped wad" and the old fiber/felt wads went away too!

  I remember I started hunting in 1966 with paper shells. within a very short time I was shooting plastic.
