New 1911 Springfield How to put it back together?

Ok: Let me Say I like Springfield Products alot I'm not putting them down by any stretch of the Imagination. Ok I just purchased a New PX9154L Full size 1911 (nice pistol)
This Pistol has a one piece Guide rod,But Really Two Piece.After you take the Gun apart. Is there easy way to put it back together? Yes I have the instructions. and as most instructions they say put it together by reversing the order!Step # 4 shows Slide stop removal.
The book is showing to put the slide stop in before the recoil spring is in?Step # 3 Push the Recoil spring in Step #2 Rotate the Barrel Bushing. Ok if this correct is there a easy way to do this for a person with old weak hands?( I shot out a fluorescent light with the recoil plug) My wife said now what are doing?Any help would be appreciated! Shooter for sure, Be careful you will shoot your eye out!

  Yeah, I sympathize with you. Especially, if you catch your wife's attention with your activities and that is never good.
  
  The 1911 can be frustrating the first couple of times you assemble and disassemble it and all I can say is, it just takes practice. I have assembled my 1911's both ways (spring in before slide stop and after slide stop) and the method I like best is to place the recoil spring on the recoil guide and lay that assembly onto the barrel in the slide. Then mount the slide on the frame and position the slide stop. This way the recoil spring guide and recoil spring are already mounted in the slide and all that remains is to compress the the spring with the recoil plug and turn the bushing. Sometimes a new 1911 can fit rather tight so you might fit some parts before doing the actual assembly. Turn the bushing into the slide to see how tight it is or add some oil to help the pieces fit together more easily. Pressure has to be maintained on the recoil spring at all times while rotating the bushing and keep your face out of the way.

  Hello like every thing there is more then one way to do the job .Alot of bulls-eye shooters dont like to turn the bushing in the slide . What you can do "with pratice " is with one or both hands move the slide back to the dismount position THE LITTLE DIMPLE in the slide you can remove slide stop pin now let the recoil spring push the slide forward and it will come allthe way off as the slide starts to clear the frame CARE must be taken to hold the spring next to barrel after the slide is off the frame you can ease the spring and guide away from the barrel and leave the barrel ,bushing and plug all together. To reassm. install spring, and guide and hold in place against the barrel infront of the locking lugs and link while slideing the whole thing onto the frame. This way you can dismount the and mount the top half to the frame with out tools ."PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN"

  One thing that would really help you is to buy a barrel bushing wrench. They only cost a few dollars and will make it a lot easier to rotate the bushing while you hold the plug in the depressed position.
