    Holo ,More money but worth every penny
    have had one on a shotgun and .44mag

    Only problem I have with Holo-sights is they wash out in bright light ... ie sunlight!

    I don't know about the typical shooter, but most of my shooting is at the range ... or the dump, in daylight conditions, so a decent red dot works fine and I have yet to justify a $300-400 military type holo

    Either will work fine really, just depends on what your eyes like better. Some pick up the dot of a AIMPOINT better than the sight picture of a EOTech.

    Kimber Kid. As for wash out. There is a good reason why the AIMPOINTS and EOTECH552A cost what they do. They don't get washed out. [:D]

    Just like any other piece of optics, you get what you pay for.

    I have 4 bushnell holo sights and have never had a problem with wash out in sunlight, if you are having a problem i would suggest you send it back to the factory and have them check it out

    I've had mine on every thing from 10/22 , 12 ga turkey gun , 50 cal black powder , Ruger 454 and 480 , no problems with any of them

    Well, it sounds like the general population prefers Holo. They are more money but, I like to spend money once for a product. I think I need to go to a shop and look at them side by side and go with it.

    Thank you everybody for your input and keep it comming if you have something to say. I will be checking this topic.

    I am like you in the way that I rather HURT once for a item and not have to deal with it again.

    Check out the EOTECHs, they run about 350.00 and are battle proven so any target shooting or hunting applications will not even come close to hurting them.

    If you like the dot, go with AIMPOINT. However both of these are battery operated and anything that runs off a battery WILL FAIL sooner or later.

    Aimpoints are among the toughest, but they ain't cheap. Holosights are bulkier. The Holosight IS a red dot sight; it just doesn't have the tube...see also C-More Serendipity.
