Redfield/Leupold rings?

Are the rings and bases interchangable between Redfield and Leupold?

  Both firms have made a number of different designs but the type that the front ring fits in a slot and then turns 90 degrees to lock are interchangable.between redfield and leupold

  Perry shooter is right, I have several rifles with Leupold and Redfield bases and rings mixed and have noticed no difficulties through years of rough use.
