Millett SP1 Red Dot on a Ruger 480?

Can the Millett SP1 red dot with the 1" tube stand up to the recoil of a Ruger SRH 480? Anybody try this yet? What other options should I consider with the Ruger 1" rings for a good hunting pistol scope?

Driver carries no cash, he's married.

  make sure you buy some quality rings and mount. I would use 3 rings.

  Would I be better off not using the Ruger 1" rings supplied with the SRH and going with a 30mm tube? This would also broaden the scope selection.
