Help ID this rifle

An individual brought a rifle by for me to ID. I do not have any pics because he took it with him. It looks like a military trainer rifle. It is a 22 rimfire semi-auto. Has "Squibman model 16" on the barrel, and under that "Squires Ringham Mfg." The rifle is stamped made in the Phillipines. The rifle has a pistol grip and flash hider. This particular speciman has seen better days. Any one have any knowledge of the rifle?

    It is a rolling block, with 3 brass bands, 34" barrel. On the left side it has a crown, that could be Belgian or British proof marks and it says M-1867. On the tang it says KJOBENHAVNS TOIHUUS.1875. The bore is bigger than 45cal. (11mm)?

    THIS IS A CHEAP (READ JUNK) LOOK-A-LIKE. SOME PARTS ARE AVAILABLE FROM GUNPARTSCORP. BUT THESE ARE NOT WORTH A LOT, I'VE HAD 2 IN FOR REPAIRS IN THE LAST YEAR AND BOTH WERE JUNKED (NO, I DON'T HAVE THE PARTS).

    I have to agree with you on the "junk" label Mike. The rifle looks very crude in construction with quality not a component.
