    They were made by Iver Johnson, fairly common, moderate value.

    The US Revolvers were a cheaper line of Iver Johnson revolvers which themselves were pretty much cheap copies of Smith & Wessons late 19th century double action, top break, 5 shot, .38S&W revolvers. I guess for cheapness sake, they never did use the S&W style safety hammerless lemon squeezer grip safety design although they did apparently make some hammerless double action only versions. They also made some solid frame side loading, ejectorless revolvers as well. They were offered in .22, .32 and .38 caliber and were manufactured between 1910 and 1935. They usually go for around $50.00 to $150.00 dollars. They were apparently made in Iver Johnson's Fitchburg Massachusettes facility along with the other Iver Johnsons.

    Yes , correct , they have a marginal value at best , kind of a fun 'plinker' - 'clunker' toy , but not a serious item to most ... ...

    Forthhorseman has pretty much nailed it.

    A word of warning....these were pretty much bottom-line revolvers, also known as "Saturday Night Specials" or "Suicide Specials". They tend to go out of time easily, and can spit as much lead out of the sides as out of the barrel (I know, I had one that did).......so be VERY CAREFUL about shooting it.

    They, do, however, make fine paperweights. [:D]

    I agree that they are not good for shooting today. If you want a good top break .38 revolver to actually shoot, find a good
    Webley Mk IV in .38S&W. I have one that's in such good condition it almost looks new and it's a great little shooter!
