has anyone ever heard of a stallard js9 9mm are they good gun

    Hi I am bidding on a S&W 9mm pistol. I am looking at the ammo for this gun and it hits me what kind of volosity do these rounds have? All I see is not 230 grain.What kind of knock down power do they have verses the old millitary 45 cal. semi-auto side arm? What is the best kind of ammo for practice and also for shooting in self defense?[?]

    They are NOT a good gun.It is the same exact thing as a High Point.They are ugly,heavy,and not worth the money even though they are very cheap.Get a Bersa Thunder,its only a .380acp but is so much more a better gun they cant be compared.They are $199.99.Another really good cheap 9mm is a Kel-Tec P-11 they run around $250.00 range.

    thanks for the info its only a 100.00 bucks but if its not worth it then i will keep looking

    For about 150$ to 175$ you can get a Star BM 9mm, THAT is a good gun...

    O.K. , stay as far away from these (stallard,hi-point ect.) as possible , one of the only few 'guns' we will not sell or gunsmith on.
    Yes , the keltec & star are both good guns & good buys ...

    If you are low on money, and looking for a ccw get a kel-tec p-ll, no better gun in that price range

    If you are really low on money(broke) and absolutely need a gun before you can save more than I would cautiously say go with the star (after you have inspected it very thoroughly)

    I have had both of my autos out the star is 30 tears old and still shots straight as an arrow the 40 does to thanks for all the input on the stallard I will tell my uncle to keep looking
