22-250 load recommendations ?

Good day,

Anyone have a load recommendation for a 22-250, 45-55 gr bullet,
utilizing W748 or H322 powder (as I have a bunch of both) Ever
been in that territory ? Focus is on accuracy vs velocity, 200 yards or less, paper punching, 1:14 twist.

  The paintball area of these forums was highjacked a while back by the reloaders amonst us. That would be the area to get the more expert advise. My own two cents would be to use the 45g bullets as they generally will work better in that twist rate. I can't help with the charge as I have never worked with either powder. Good luck

  H322 has never been a great powder for the 22/250 with any bullet weight.
  W748 is OK but at lower velocitys than most of the better powders for the 22/250. W760 would be a lot better for all bullet weights in some rifles.
  Varget is the best choice for your bullet range.

  Thanks for the reply. I checked the usual list of burn rates. The
  charts all list about the same thing, with #1 being the fastest and
  #100 being the slowest. H322 rated 68th, W748 74th, Varget 80th
  and W760 90th. Considering all, it appears that slower is better although there doesn't seem to be a major difference until you get to W760 land. I have heard that with a 26" barrel the slow burning powders are more effective. I would be using this in a 23 1/2 barrel (Tikka Master Sporter) so I suppose that might allow the use of a faster powder. Likely a rationalization on my part. And... there
  are probably other factors I haven't considered.
