NEF Handirifle

I bought a N.E.F. Handirifle, Youth, Ultralight, in .223. Gave $200, and it has a Tasco 3-9 scope on it. How are these rifles?? What kind of accuracy should I expect?? How was the price???

    My nef in .223, while not the ultralite, shoots 1/2 100 yd groups and I am sometimes able to keep groups in 1 inch at 200 yds. Its a pretty basic rifle, not much to look at, but it does shoot. The Tasco 3X9 is n't worth much in my opinion, but it may work fine for you depending on what kind of hunting you're planning on doing with it.

    Bought one of these in .243 for my daughter last year. She is gettin 1 1/2 groups at 100 with remington ammo. Not great groups for us but for a 8 1/2 yr. old 50 pounder she does alright.

    Teach them young ! Teach them often !

    If you bought it new the price was good,if used the price was good but not great.IMHO,etc
    I'd say you'll get moa at 100 yds with it.I believe the Marlin website has a NEF forum for ?? on trigger fixes,additional barrels,etc.

    Marlin shut the forums down quite a while ago...they said due to liability issues. [:(]

    My experiences with Handi's has been great. My son has a 243 and has taken 9 deer with it the past 2 seasons. I have even found myself taking it out hunting more and more. IMHO, for the price and barrel swap program, you cannot beat a Handi-Rifle. Good luck with yours!
