Best Autoloader 12ga.

I'm looking to get into a autoloading shotgun and need some opinions from the gallery.[:D] Looking for any input or stories about your autoloader, thanks;-)

    I love my Benelli M1-121 it even cycles the reduced recoil rounds fine.

    I've not owned a Benelli but have heard great things, on the other hand I have an 11-87 Remington that has functioned flawlessly for years, several thousand rounds through it, I almost never clean it, and it has never let me down, not one jam or mis-feed ever. Shoots light medium and heavy 2-3/4" shells and the heaviest 3" with never a difficulty.[;)]

    I've had an 1187 that didn't eject some reduced recoil loads, but functioned well on everything else. I've got a Benelli M3 Super90 that, once I figured the bugger out, cycles everything. I've yet to try the little Aguila shells through it though.

    Hello Hang-Fire 1: I'm afraid I agree with Bert, "he is a nut" LOL

    Seriously, are you talking "new", used, what price range are you looking at? Do you want screw in chokes, or an older gun with a fixed choke? Gauge would be nice too!

    If you are talking older fixed chokes, the Browning A-5, (non-japanese)or Japanese with screw in chokes, the Winchester Super X 1. New guns with choke tubes, the Remington or Browning Gold, can be had for around $700. plus or minus depending on which one you get. It really depends on what exactly you want and how much you want to spend.

    The most important feature, how well any particular gun fits you. If you find a "brand" you like practice shouldering it a half dozen times!! With your shooting vest or hunting jacket on!! Go for the one that feels the best!!

    Benelli is an excellent gun.

    I own the M1014 and with quality shells it is perfect. Great accuracy with slugs, good cycling with birdshot.

    What's the use? Expected number of rounds?
    If its heavy use like sporting clays; then you will want choke selection preferences and one built to stand up to 30 cases a year or so, then Beretta AL 391 technys or higher end Beretta auto loaders. Less useage, don't know.
    Lastly, I've shot out/wore out Stoeger and Benelli 12 gauges or maybe it just was me not maintaining it regularly.... but general cleaning after every weekend and detailed breakdown after every 3000 rounds or so didn't get it.

    Benelli, you cant go wrong. I have a M1 super 90 and love it. I will probably buy a M3 someday too.
