Winchester model 1906 Expert
I have an original 1906 Expert slide action .22 it was made in 1925 and is in approx 90% cond. with just a few light scratches and a beautiful bore. The action is crisp and the wood is solid. I have a Blue Book of gun values that is from 1999 and then it was worth 800-1000 dollars. Can anyone tell me an approx. current value??

The expert was offered in three different finishes; blued, half nickel (receiver, guard and bolt) and full nickel, including barrel. Which is yours? 0 -
I am not sure. It has a blue finish but I cannot tell, I'll try to upload a picture or two. Maybe I should find out how to upload a picture or two before I shoot my mouth off!!![:o)] 0 -

If your Model 06 Expert is a full blued version, it is rarer than the nickle trimmed versions, but oddly enough, it is not worth as much. Also, if your 06 was manufactured in 1925, it was made in the very last year that the Expert was offered.
If it is truly in 90% orignal (unaltered/refinished) condition, it will easily break the $1500 mark. Pictures would be of significant help to place a closer value estimate on your Winnie.

The rifle has never been reblued or had the stock refinished and all fastening screws as well as the butt plate are original. It was my Grand Dad's "squirrel gitter" If you would like to see pictures I could email you the ones I have and give you a better idea of which one it is. Thanks

Yes, I did get them, but I have been in Alaska for most of the past week indulging in one of my other great passions... piscatorial pursuit[:D]. I will take a look at them tomorrow morning and send you a reply.
