I'M LOOKING AT THE MARTINI .22 AS GOOD CHOICE FOR A SINGLE SHOT
OFFHAND SHOOTER.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH ONE?

They are wonderful target guns. Just make sure you get one with the original sights. It gets expensive if you have to add them.

M-12, 12/15, VICKERS EMPIRE, MKll INTERNATIONAL (BOTH LIGHT AND HEAVEY BARREL), MKlll INTERNATIONAL; ALL SHOOT WELL AND ARE A MARVEL OF ENGINEARING. THESE ARE ALL SMALL ACTION MARTINI'S, THERE ARE SOME THAT WERE REBUILT LARGE ACTION CONVERTED TO .22 R.F. THAT ARE NOT AS DESIREABLE. STICK WITH THE FIRST THREE LIST FOR OFF-HAND SHOOTING (IT'S DAMN HARD HOLDING UP A 12/15 LB. RIFLE)

Why not a Anschutz 1413 ( or newer) they are more accurate and the triggers/lock time are way faster.

i've got a couple of good bolt guns, but i've always had a thing for single shots. i'd love one of the new ballards, but they start at about $2,500.

Check out Thad Scott Fine Guns. He has a goodly number of them in various configurations at, what I consider, very fair prices.
