Sighting in the 22 mag
So I anticipate most of my shots to be NO longer than 100 yards. But they will range from 25, 45, 50, 65, 85, etc.
What do you suggest for the "zero" and why?

One inch high at 25 feet. You did not say which ammo you are using and that does make a difference . I like cci plus V's

Yeah, I have not decided what ammo. I just mounted the scope 3x9 Burris rimfire on her last night it being a Marlin 883SS and it sure shoots nice.
WIll use it for the "opportunity gun" that rides with me in the pick in up truck -- skunks, beaver, badgers, porcupines, snakes, and other bothersome critters.
So I guess that I want some thing that shoots good and hits hard.

I'd set it dead on @ 75yds. That should let you be able to hit anything from 50 to 100yds without holding over/under the target. 0 -
Most of the ammo I use , will let me set it one inch high at twentyfive yards.Its dead on at one hundred yards.One inch high at fifty and seventyfive yards.

Plains - I've got a 882SSV w/ a leupold 3x9 and i have found it works best when sighted in at 75 yards and shooting winchester supremes. the supremes are a bit pricey, but mine seem to work best with them. seems like the cci's are a bit erratic.

My Marlin 25MN will shoot any kind of ammo. There's not much of a differance in forty or fortyfive grain bullets. My Single-six Ruger will not shoot good groups unless its Winchester Dynapoints.The funny thing is if I sight both of them in at one inch above zero at twentyfive yards , they'r both good out to onehundred yards.

i'd go with rimfire72's sight in, that's what i use for my 22 mags, and it'll work with any ammo. good luck.

The Winchester black box Supremes are the most accurate in my Marlin 925. I have tried every 22 Mag ammo out there and I stick with the Winchester. It is a 34 grain nasty hollowpoint going 2100FPS.
