Buehler scope mount problem.

Not so long ago I bought a rifle, 270 Win., that had an old weaver K3 scope mounted on it with a Buehler mount. I would like to replace the scope with one that has more power. I can remove the scope and rings but I can not remove the rings from the scope. The front ring is stuck and I can not move it at all. The rear ring will slide back-and-forth but I can not get it past the adjusting knobs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is Buehler still in business?

    Orinda, Ca. The inside of Buehler rings is made up of thin
    laminations for precise ring to scope fit. Did you remove the
    top screws?

    There are no top screws to remove on the rings. There is a narrow slot on the bottom of the rings.

    Buehler rings should have a little slothead screw at the top.

    Those are one piece rings.
    You have to remove the eye-piece and the adjusting knobs and slide them off the rear.

    No problem to replace the stuff you took off.

    Did it come off a pre-64 Model 70? Wanna part with the whole set-up? The remove the eye piece approach is correct. Good luck
