I can't find this in my gun books does anyone have a clue?

  sounds like a west german clone gun. tell us a little more about it and maybe we can help more.

  "HS" stands for Herbert Schmidt. West German manufacturer of inexpensive revolvers. Many were sold under different names by various U.S. importers in the 60's. Model 21 was a single action that was ment to resemble the Colt Single-Action Cowboy Gun.
  
  Since they weren't sold under the Schmidt name, chances are if they are listed at all, it would be a trade name that the importer used.
  
  Usually the West German proof marks included a two diget number that was the date of proof.
