JC Higgins

While visiting my mother, she gave me another one of my late fathers weapons. It is a: J C Higgins, 22 cal, Rev. Seems to be in pretty good condition.

Anybody know about this weapon? Worth? Rarity? When it was made?

  I have a JC Higgins Bolt action 12 gage shot gun. It is model 5837.
  What is its worth in good condition????

  I can't be certain, "BUT" believe your revolver was made for Sears by High Standard in the early 70's.
  
  It's was very similar to the Sentinel line of alloy framed revolvers that High Standard sold under their own name from the late 50's to the mid 70's.
  
  Your's, value wise would probably be in the same ballpark as the High Standards, $100 - $200 depending on condition.

  It is probably a model 88. I remember these in the Sears stores up to about 1960. These are the same as a High Standard Sentinel. I actual had the one I own out at the range yesterday. The one I have does not have an ejector rod spring system. You have to manually retract the rod after you eject the empties. I usually see these selling on the $100 range.
