Looking for someone who builds rifles on sako actions, toying with the idea of a custom ss/syn gun.

    Try Kevin Weaver at Weaverrifles.com I think he usually builds on a Montana or Win M70 but I know he builds on others as well, good guy and a great rifle.

    most custom oriented smiths can work with a sako action. Vary little usually has to be done to the action as they are very straight and true from the factory.

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    I am thinking about a 7mm rem mag with a stainless barrel and synthetic stock.

    I just had a 7-08 done on an old Browning /Sako action. The action is very smooth and works great. The smith had no problems with it. Has a Douglas premium bbl and a B&C stock. A very neat,handy rifle. Shoots good too.

    If you are interested, I know of a custom L691 Sako .300 win. mag. with a Shilen Select barrel all set into a McMillan synthetic stock, topped with a Leuplod 4X12X40AO Vari-XII matte scope.
    The gun is the personal gun of a local gunsmith, and has been test fired only. It's metal is Black Parkerized, and the stock is also Black.....$1,595....Pictures available....
