Star 9mm
I have a Star Super SA 9mm with wooden grips and a black enamel finish. I purchased this gun at an auction. SN is 32355. Could anyone tell me how to tell if it uses 9mm or 9 mm Largo ammunition? Also anything about the pistol that would be helpful.

Star was in business from the First World War to the 90's. We can't help you unless we know which specific pistol your inquiring about?
Due a Google search for Star Handguns, there is a lot of stuff on the net vis a vis Star. Once you figured out which pistol and caliber your friend has, it would make things a lot easier.

from what i can tell about the gun it is a model BM, (compacct) seems to have been in production from the 1920s to 1965, an estimated value on this gun would really be appreciated
If it is a 9mm BM?, they are presently being sold on the surplus market for between $120 & $130.0 -

Fine pistol - mine is 100% reliable and loves Winchester 124 gr for x ring accuracy at 25 yds. Easy to take apart and clean. Built like a tank. Heavy for its size though. Gunbroker as them all the time in excellent condition for 175 or so. 0
