Help! ...trying to "date" a Colt Python

I bought a Python today with a "T" prefix to the numerical serial number(T69xxx). Anyone know the approx. year of manufacture?

  If you call Colt customer service (toll free, but I don't have the number) they'll look it up on the computer and tell you.

  Great link! Unfortunately, the data for the Python ends in 1978. But a great reference site, nonetheless.
