winchester model 1894

I bought a box of crap. Inside I found a....well not sure what it is, that's why I am here. It says on the side "Manufactured by the winchester repeating arms co. New Haven Ct U.S.A. MOD. 1894 Patent date February 13 1894." I looks like a punch almost. It has two fingers type things sticking up, and a moveable part in between with a little nub on it. I thought it was a punch, but what do I know. The bottom part screws in and out and has 38-55 stamped into it. If I can get a picture I will post it.

  Sounds like a loading tool.

  If so, it is a cartridge reloading tool for the .38-55 cartridge.
