Scope Base for Remington 600
I am about to put a Vari X ll scope on my Rem. 600 in 6mm and was wondering if any one makes a quality two piece base for this rifle?
I have a Leupold base and rings on my 600 in .308 and it has not drifted off zero in two full seasons of good use.
But because these rifles are short action i would like to be able to load it easier without dealing with the space restrictions of the one piece base that i am now using on the .308.
Lastly i want nothing more to do with those Weaver rails and cheap rings because i have yet to be able to keep a rifle zeroed with those things after a season of use.
Although the Weaver set up is usually not off by much it still is aggravating to have to dial in the scope every season.
I had the same type of luck on my 700 until i switched it over to the Leupold two piece base and rings.
Any help is appreciated.

YES ! sk makes a 2 piece base, with only one hole in the rear base , but it held zero fine on my 600 308....leupold also is offering a 2 piece base now for the model sevens, that has 2 holes in the rear base and this might work also...goodluck, scott 0
