Alloy receiver blueing?

what is the best way to get rid of scratches on a winchester 1300 alloy receiver?
should i reblue?

  cann't be done easyly or economicly, you can try one of the 'bakeing laquers' (brownells sells these).

  If you put an alloy part in a hot blueing tank it will dissolve and disappear. It becomes scum floating in the solution.These parts are anodized or finished with some type of propriotory (spelling?) finish at the factory. It is prohibitively expensive, as Mike Wiskey said, to have done. Brownells coatings are about the only solution. They have several you can pick from . Check their catalog

  Aluminum black may work, depending on the alloy of the receiver.
