1935A and 1935S - proper ammo or rebarreling?

My father has a French 1935S pistol in caliber 7.65x20. We have sourced ammo from Old Western Scrounger in CA, but it is rather expensive. Does anyone know of a better source for this ammo? Also, he has debated on possibly finding a barrel in .32 ACP for the pistol, custom if necessary. I've thought about Bar-Sto. Is there a diference in the pressure from the French Long round and .32 ACP? Any other ideas, other than selling?

    Ammo can be made from .32 S&W Long if you reload by turning down the rim. Since the ballistics are about the same, there is little point in shooting this much except on Bastille Day.
    Get a box of ammo from OWS and buy a different weapon to shoot regularly.

    The pressures on the 2 rounds are close...the French round is decidedly puny! Have you checked with Bertram for the Brass? Reloading might make this feasible. Unless I'm mistaken, Fiocci made this for awhile (I seem to remember seeing it in a catalog when getting 9mm Steyr a few years back), and they would be a cheaper source.

    I just thought I would let everyone know that this particular link will take you to buffalo arms http://www.buffaloarms.com/browse.cfm/4,4228.html .They are the only ones that can get it right when it comes to doing the rim on the .32 S&W to get it to fit my 1935A. I love shooting this little gun! All of the other ammo I've tried (3 other sets) keep jamming up the empty shell. These, however, slide through like butter! [:D] Just thought I would share the link..Have a great day!
