colt trooper

I have a Colt Trooper Mark III with an 8 inch barrel. It is black withblack grips in excellent shape. The serial number 96542L. Could someone tell me the year and value. Thanks

    i have a well used colt trooper that shoots a very good group that is about 6" from center of aim at the 8 o'clock position 15 yards distance. could this be a barrel crown problem and can that be checked or verified by a compenent smith.

    dont know what you have ,but colt did not produce a stainless gun in 1966. neither did they produce a half lug?? i am sure you have a post 69 j-frame gun. does the serial start with a j??

    Around 1980 I bought a Colt Trooper III, 6" in .357 mag. Shot as good as any revolver I ever owned. Mine was blue steel and I don't think I ever saw a Trooper III in stainless.

    As I recall it was the same size as a Colt Python, just not as fancy.





    Whoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons.

    Must be a nickel Trooper. Not sure about the "Special" mark?
    Blue Book says $525 for 100% condition....plus 15% for nickel finish.
