Iconoclast or any other ammo experts (new pic)

Could you tell me when these were made? Any collectors value yet on these? I picked up two for my collection. It has the Klean Bore bow tie and "NITRO LONG RANGE EXPRESS" on the side of the shell. The top has "Remington 00 buck" on the inside.

    Postwar into the 1960s. No real premium to market at this point unless it is some sort of really odd loading - proof, dummy, military.

    Hello ginmaster: Judging by the "roll crimp" I'd say that shell dates a little earlier. Most shotgun shell manufactures started using the "star crimp" by the mid to late 1940's. Of course since Remington didn't put the ammunition lot number on the shell itself, it's kind of hard to pin point it any further. I do know that there are books out there on Remington products, myself I've collected and bought quited a bit on "Winchester".

    "Kleanbore" is a trade name that Remington came out with. I think with a little research you can pin-point it to within about 10 years. Also Remington switched to "green paper" sometime in the 1930s if I recall correctly. Regards Dave

    I don't know the production dates on the Remington ammo(not being a collector) but I do know that my dad and I were buying roll crimped Remington ammo in the late 50's. We did switch to the plastice shells for waterfowl hunting as soon as they became available because of the tendency of the paper shells to swell around water use environments. I gave a box of the paper roll crimped 16 gauges to a friend several years ago. To a non-collector like me "if you aren't going to shoot it , what good is it". But as usual, that is just my opinion.     Hello, Its Postwar. The Kleanbore during and before the war had Longitudnal lines on the case. This is a smooth case and of a later period .
