s&w 340 question

Just picked up a nib 340 (hammerless)in .357 yesterday. Got it home and dry-fired a couple of times....trigger won't spring back to "ready" position. Has anybody had this problem and is it easily fixable (by a qualified smith) without sending it back to the factory? I HATE having to send one back for factory repair.....got a bearcat that's been at ruger for over three months and hate to go that route again if it can be a quick fix thing.

    I just called the guy I bought it from; he's a reputable smith...said he could get it straightened out in a short while, and he's seen several come out like that from the factory. Something about a burr on the mechanism. He's only open after 6 pm, so had to wait 'till he got in.
    Looks like all will be well.

    Better be, for $600 bucks!![:D]
