email notification

How do I set an email notification for a topic I have posted? Also when and how are some posts locked?

  The software functions for these forums do not offer the eMail notification option.
  
  The threads are locked / deleted according to the guidelines listed for the site & / or forum. On the Experts forum, the unpublished rule of thumb is that most technical topics are covered in ten posts, so once the count climbs to or above this level, the moderator will lock it.
