Marlin model 1892, 32 caliber rifle info???
I have a Marlin model 92 lever action rifle, convertable from 32 short to 32 long rimfire. I've tried to chamber the 32 S&W and 32 Colt, but they won't quite fit in the chamber. I had sold the last of the 32 rimfire ammo that I had in stock, so I don't have any to try in it. Anybody got any experience with these guns? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello marlin made a rifle that was chambered in 32 rimfire and centerfire. I had 2 interchangable fireing pins and a storeage area in the butt stock . I had one and it would chamber 32 short rim 32 long rim 32 short colt and 32 long colt IT"WOULD NOT CHAMBER 32 S&W short and long" mine was a model 1891 should be almost same gun.I loved mine but it was ruled not legal for coyboy shoots 0 -
HGS - did you try chambering .32 Short Colt? There is considerable length difference between it and the .32 LC. Except for C/L and OAL (the Colt being slightly longer in both), the external dimensions for the SC and SRF are nominally identical while the SC bullet is is actually a few .001" smaller than the .32 SRF.

just a note to the above. the colt .32 new police (both l.& s.) are the same as .32 s&w and will not work inyour rifle. 0
